Iniciativa Verde is a member of the Federation of the
Green Parties of America

The delegation of the Party, integrated by Juan Manuel Velasco, Minister of Environment of the City of Buenos Aires, the party leaders Claudia Moy Peña and Marcelo Lopez, and the young delegate Juan Manuel Zorraquín, representative of the Global Young Greens of the Americas, manifested their satisfaction for this important international triumph of the Party. Within the framework of this ecological event, two international seminaries took place. The second seminary, "Green Governability in America", presented by Minister Juan Manuel Velasco, approached points like Municipal Green Governability, Parlamentary and the Green Legislation of the Countries of America, Green Environmental Education and Environmental International Journalism, among others. The Federation of the Green Parties of America (FPVA) is an international organism that reunites the Green ecologistes political organizations of the American Continent. It was constituted officially in 1997 in Mexico City and was ratified in Bela Island, Brazil, in 1998. The actual members are Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, the United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
