2008 Election Campaign Successes
• We are the only party that increased its vote in 2008! Every other party’s vote fell!
• The Green Party gained 274,855 votes (943/riding) while the Liberal vote fell by 848,724 (-2,717/riding); the Bloc fell 173,544 votes (-2,314/riding); the Conservative fell 167,338 votes (-543/riding) and the NDP fell 72,955 votes (-237/riding).
• The GPC won almost one million votes!!
• The Green Party had the largest popular vote increase (2.3%) – more than a 50% increase over our 2006 election result.
