ECOLOGISTAS, PACTO POR UN CHILE LIMPIO Y DIPUTADOS INDEPENDIENTES SUBSCRIBED AN AGREEMENT SO CHILE UTILIZES RENEWABLE ENERGY .
AUGUST 2008 Leaders ecologists, the Pacto por un Chile Limpio and the Independent Congressmen have subscribed an agreement in order to work together to promote the use of renewable energies. The Congress woman Alejandra Sepúlveda and Congressmen: Eduardo Díaz, Carlos Olivares, Esteban Valenzuela, Álvaro Escobar, Pedro Araya and Jaime Mulet, met with the ecologists leaders s Manuel Baquedano of Instituto de Ecología Política, Sara Larraín of Chile Sustentable, Juan Pablo Orrego of Ecosistemas and Bernardo Reyes of Forestethic to coordinate the team work so Chili will develops clean energy. Chili has an enormous energy potential regarding non conventional renewable energies. Research by the Universidad de Chile and Técnica Santa Maria, has show that 50 % of the electricity generated can be covered by non conventional renewable energies by the year 2025. It should be remember that Manuel Baquedano, Sara Larraín, Bernardo Reyes and Isabel Lincolao of the Partido Ecologista, Jaime Mulet of the PRI and Esteban Valenzuela of Chile Primero, are part of the Pacto Por Un Chile Limpio that is currently working in the next municipal elections of 2008
